TL;DR — The Short Version
Your check-ins are yours. The text and voice check-ins you write are your private record. We use them to read your emotional and cognitive patterns and to build your reports and history.
Your emotional data is sensitive, and we treat it that way. Your emotional readings, insights, and journal exist to help you see yourself clearly — not to be shared or sold.
We don't sell your data. Period. We don't sell your personal data to third parties.
You're in control. You can delete your account and data at any time.
You can contact us anytime. Questions? Email [email protected]. We're real people.
The Adam & Lynn Privacy Pledge
We build Coen 1™, a personal emotional-intelligence instrument. To do that, we process sensitive data about how you're doing. We believe the only way to help you see yourself clearly is to keep that data private and under your control. Your check-ins, emotional readings, and reflections exist for you — we don't sell them, and we don't share them without your say-so.
Adam & Lynn Incorporated ("us", "we", or "our") operates the adamnlynn.com website and the Coen 1™ platform (the "Service").
This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.
We use your data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Information Collection and Use
We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide the Service — reading your emotional and cognitive patterns and turning them into reports, insights, and your personal history.
Types of Data Collected
Personal Data
While using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you ("Personal Data"). Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:
- Email address
- First name and last name
- Phone number
- Timezone and preferences
- Cookies and Usage Data
Check-Ins (Text & Voice)
The core of the Service is your daily check-ins. When you write a text check-in or record a voice check-in, we store that content and process it to read the emotional and cognitive signals in your words. Your check-ins are treated as sensitive personal data. They form your private record and power the readings, reports, and history the Service shows back to you.
Emotional & Cognitive Readings
From your check-ins, the Service derives emotional and cognitive readings across life domains (such as relationships, work, money, physical, and cognitive), along with daily reports, insights, realizations, and pattern data. This derived data is retained so you can review it over time. It is treated with the highest level of confidentiality.
Decisions, Journal & Personal Metrics
You may record decisions in your decision log, keep journal entries, and track your own custom personal metrics. This content is stored as part of your account so the Service can reflect it back to you and track it over time.
Integration Data
To enrich your picture, you may voluntarily connect third-party services (for example GitHub, Todoist, GitLab, OpenWearables health data, a Daylio import, or email-based check-ins). We collect data from the integrations you authorize and use it to inform your daily reports and emotional readings. You control which integrations you connect, and you can disconnect them at any time.
Usage Data
We may also collect information on how the Service is accessed and used ("Usage Data"). This Usage Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
Tracking & Cookies Data
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our Service and hold certain information.
Cookies are files with a small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your device. Tracking technologies also used are beacons, tags, and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyze our Service.
